i often wonder why

i often wonder why,
animals are hunted for wool, fur and skins,
i often wonder why,
animals are kept in tins.
i often wonder why,
animals are kept in zoos,
i often wonder why,
when beaten, a cow moos.
i often wonder why,
animal's homes are cut down,
i often wonder why,
they don't have a beautiful gown.
i often wonder why,
animals are tested on,
i often wonder why,
we rarely see a beautiful fawn.
i often wonder why,
we don't save the animals that are tied,
i often wonder why,
we don't realise that many animals have died.

plants

the farmer planted a seedling,
out of the reach of the little duckling,
he watered it well,
so it would grow up enough to sell.
it grew into a tree,
tall, leafy and strong as it could be,
but it was cut,
and was built into a hut.
and it goes like this,
this event we always seem to miss,
why don't you try to guess?
its global warming to the press.
those poor plants suffer a lot,
if we don't do something earth will be red hot,
now its time for us to act,
save the earth infact.

the remarkable feild trip

11th July, our school went on a field trip to Sanjay Gandhi National Park. a breakfast with monkeys is very memorable(donot forget lunch). a forest trail we walked through, looking out for leopards. but unluckily, no sights of one were there. i still kept an lookout for one. after that, we went to see the caves. they were over 2,000 years old and were over 100 of them. we saw only two. then we went on the safari. all of us marveled at the sights of the big cats. a male lion was sitting on the path. we waited for him to go and then we moved on. we saw a small documentary made by wildlife enthusiasists about lions. we kids had a wonderful time on our field trip. it was an unforgetable experience there.
